Vol. 3 No. 3 (2026)Health, Consciousness, and Human Wellbeing: Contemporary Multidisciplinary Perspectives brings together scholarly inquiries that examine human wellbeing through interconnected physical, psychological, social, and contemplative dimensions. This issue is grounded in the view that wellbeing cannot be adequately understood through a single disciplinary lens; rather, it emerges from the dynamic relationship between public health realities, human awareness, behavioural regulation, and broader socio-cultural conditions. By positioning health and consciousness within a multidisciplinary framework, this collection highlights the need for more integrative approaches to understanding contemporary human life.
The articles in this issue reflect the growing relevance of cross-disciplinary scholarship in addressing both external and internal determinants of wellbeing. On one hand, public health challenges continue to reveal structural inequalities, epidemiological risks, and urgent developmental concerns that shape the quality of human life. On the other hand, contemplative and self-regulatory practices illuminate the role of inner awareness, emotional balance, and reflective discipline in sustaining personal resilience and meaning. Taken together, these contributions offer a broader intellectual space in which wellbeing is not treated merely as the absence of illness, but as a complex condition involving bodily health, mental clarity, social context, and conscious living.

Human Agency in Complex Systems: Sustainability Transitions and Regional Development Pathways
Vol. 3 No. 2 (2026)The February 2026 Volume of the Argael Publisher Journal brings together two analytically distinct yet conceptually aligned studies that reposition the human actor at the center of structural transformation.
The first article introduces The Human Engine framework, a conceptual model that situates humans as active processing nexuses within coupled human–natural systems. By articulating vertical “sky–earth” flows—energy, information, institutional pressures, and normative signals—the study extends CHANS and Earth system scholarship beyond aggregate representations of human actors. It foregrounds internal cognitive, affective, and social mechanisms that determine whether socio-ecological systems evolve toward regenerative sustainability or destructive overshoot.
The second article provides quantitative empirical evidence from vocational education in the East Coast of Aceh, examining how graduates navigate career pathways between higher education, public service, and entrepreneurship. The findings reveal a strong structural orientation toward formal and secure employment, while entrepreneurial engagement remains comparatively weak due to capital constraints, ecosystem limitations, and perceived risk. The study highlights a persistent misalignment between vocational outputs and regional private-sector capacity
