Focus And Scope

The Asian Multidisciplinary Research Journal of Economy and Learning (AMJEL) publishes scholarly work that advances knowledge in the interrelated domains of economy, education, learning systems, and socio-economic transformation. The journal seeks to provide an intellectual platform for rigorous, interdisciplinary, and policy-relevant research that explains how economic structures, educational processes, and learning environments influence development outcomes in Asia and beyond.

AMJEL prioritises manuscripts in the following areas:

  • economics of education, human capital, and learning outcomes;
  • education policy, curriculum, assessment, and institutional reform with socio-economic implications;
  • labour markets, skills development, entrepreneurship, and employability;
  • public finance, regional development, and social policy related to education and learning;
  • digital economy, financial literacy, technology adoption, and innovation in learning systems;
  • governance, inclusion, sustainability, and development policy where economy and learning are substantively connected.
