Publication, Deposit, and Distribution Process
Publication, Deposit, and Distribution Process
Argael Publisher Library operates as a digital deposit system, scholarly publication catalogue, academic publishing platform, and distribution channel for books, monographs, textbooks, reference works, conference proceedings, research reports, and other eligible intellectual publications.
The platform does not apply the conventional workflow of a periodical journal. Publications are processed according to their category, editorial condition, copyright status, access model, bibliographic requirements, and the form of collaboration agreed between the author, rights holder, institution, and Argael Publisher.
The publication process is designed to maintain academic quality, bibliographic accuracy, copyright protection, transparent service arrangements, and sustainable access to scholarly works.
1. Initial Enquiry and Registration
Authors, editors, institutions, or copyright holders who wish to publish, deposit, catalogue, promote, or sell a work through Argael Publisher Library should first contact the Argael Publisher administration.
The initial enquiry may be submitted through the official WhatsApp facility displayed on this website or by email at:
Email: argaabdi@gmail.com
The applicant should provide preliminary information, including:
- the complete title and subtitle of the publication;
- the names of all authors, editors, or translators;
- institutional affiliations, where applicable;
- publication category;
- language of publication;
- estimated or final number of pages;
- publication year and edition;
- ISBN, where already available;
- DOI, where already available;
- academic synopsis or abstract;
- table of contents;
- front-cover and back-cover files;
- current manuscript status;
- preferred publication, access, and distribution model.
2. Preliminary Eligibility Assessment
After the initial enquiry, Argael Publisher conducts a preliminary assessment to determine whether the proposed work is suitable for inclusion in Argael Publisher Library.
The assessment may consider:
- the academic, educational, professional, cultural, or documentary value of the publication;
- the relevance of the work to the scope of Argael Publisher Library;
- the completeness and organisation of the manuscript;
- the clarity of authorship and copyright ownership;
- the availability and accuracy of publication metadata;
- the editorial condition of the work;
- the proposed access and commercial model;
- the potential legal, ethical, or reputational risks associated with publication.
The possession of an ISBN or DOI does not automatically guarantee acceptance. Every proposed publication must satisfy the applicable administrative, editorial, bibliographic, ethical, and copyright requirements.
3. Submission of Publication Files
Where the publication is considered potentially eligible, the author or institutional partner may be requested to submit the relevant files and supporting documentation.
These materials may include:
- the complete manuscript in Microsoft Word or another editable format;
- the final publication PDF;
- a preview PDF containing authorised sample pages;
- the front cover, spine, and back cover in high resolution;
- the title page and copyright page;
- the table of contents;
- ISBN evidence, where applicable;
- DOI information, where applicable;
- author biographies and institutional affiliations;
- keywords and an academic synopsis;
- copyright, permission, or licensing documents;
- authorisation for digital deposit, promotion, distribution, or sale.
The full publication file does not necessarily have to be made freely accessible. The author or rights holder may select a controlled access model in which only bibliographic information, the synopsis, the table of contents, the cover, and selected preview pages are displayed publicly.
4. Administrative and Metadata Verification
Argael Publisher verifies the consistency and completeness of the publication information before the work proceeds to production or deposit.
Verification may include:
- author and editor names;
- author order and institutional affiliations;
- publication title and subtitle;
- publisher identity;
- publication year and edition;
- ISBN and DOI information;
- language and total number of pages;
- copyright ownership;
- access and distribution status;
- recommended citation;
- correspondence between the cover, title page, copyright page, ISBN record, DOI record, and catalogue metadata.
Inconsistent or incomplete metadata must be corrected before the publication is formally deposited or displayed.
5. Editorial Assessment
Every manuscript may undergo editorial assessment according to its publication category and current condition. The assessment is intended to determine whether the work is sufficiently clear, coherent, accurate, readable, and suitable for scholarly or professional dissemination.
The editorial assessment may examine:
- the structure and organisation of the manuscript;
- the coherence of the argument or exposition;
- the relevance and adequacy of supporting evidence;
- language quality and readability;
- citation and reference consistency;
- the originality of the work;
- the accuracy of tables, figures, and illustrations;
- compliance with publication ethics;
- the suitability of the work for the proposed readership.
Where required, specialist or external assessment may be requested. Such assessment is determined by the nature of the work, the institutional agreement, the academic complexity of the publication, or the requirements of a particular publication category.
6. Editorial Revision and Publishing Assistance
If the manuscript is not yet publication-ready, Argael Publisher may recommend editorial or production assistance.
Available services may include:
- substantive or developmental editing;
- language and copy editing;
- manuscript restructuring;
- citation and reference checking;
- similarity screening;
- table and figure correction;
- typesetting and book layout;
- cover design;
- copyright-page preparation;
- metadata preparation;
- preview-file preparation;
- digital publication optimisation.
The author will be informed of the recommended services, estimated cost, expected output, and proposed completion period before paid work begins.
7. Service Quotation and Agreement
Where editorial, design, registration, production, printing, distribution, or commercial services are required, Argael Publisher will provide a quotation or written service proposal.
The proposal may specify:
- the scope of work;
- the services included;
- the responsibilities of the author and publisher;
- the estimated completion period;
- the payment amount and schedule;
- the revision and approval procedure;
- the expected publication outputs;
- the copyright and licensing arrangement;
- the access and distribution model;
- the sales and revenue-sharing arrangement, where applicable.
No commercial distribution or paid publication service should commence before the relevant terms have been understood and approved by the parties concerned.
8. ISBN and DOI Preparation
Where an ISBN has not yet been obtained, Argael Publisher may provide consultation or assistance in accordance with the applicable registration requirements.
A DOI may be registered for an eligible book, monograph, chapter, proceeding, report, or other digital publication object where the publication structure, metadata, registration mechanism, and publisher policy permit registration.
ISBN and DOI serve different purposes:
- ISBN identifies a particular edition and format of a book.
- DOI provides a persistent digital identifier for a registered publication object.
The registration of an ISBN or DOI does not automatically guarantee inclusion in Google Scholar, Google Books, Scopus, Web of Science, SINTA, or another external indexing service.
9. Layout, Design, and Production
After editorial approval, the manuscript may proceed to production. Depending on the agreement, this stage may include:
- book-page layout;
- heading and chapter formatting;
- table and figure placement;
- front-matter and back-matter preparation;
- cover design and finalisation;
- PDF production;
- preview-file preparation;
- print-file preparation;
- quality control before publication.
A proof or preview version may be provided to the author for final checking. Authors are responsible for reviewing names, titles, affiliations, ISBN, DOI, tables, figures, references, and other essential publication details before final approval.
10. Final Author Approval
Before publication or deposit, the author, editor, or authorised institutional representative may be asked to approve the final version.
Final approval confirms that:
- the publication title is correct;
- the author and editor names are accurate;
- the institutional affiliations are correct;
- the copyright and licensing information is acceptable;
- the ISBN and DOI information is accurate, where applicable;
- the final PDF or print file has been reviewed;
- the access and distribution arrangement has been understood;
- the work is authorised for deposit, publication, distribution, or sale.
11. Digital Deposit and Catalogue Publication
After approval, the publication may be deposited and assigned a dedicated catalogue or landing page in Argael Publisher Library.
The page may contain:
- the complete title and subtitle;
- author or editor information;
- institutional affiliation;
- publication year and edition;
- publisher information;
- ISBN and DOI, where applicable;
- language and number of pages;
- academic synopsis;
- keywords;
- table of contents;
- recommended citation;
- cover image;
- authorised preview material;
- access, purchasing, subscription, or institutional-use information.
The catalogue page is intended to support bibliographic traceability, publication visibility, search-engine discoverability, and responsible reader access.
12. Access Configuration
Each publication may use one of the following access models:
- Open access — the complete publication is freely available under an approved licence.
- Paid digital access — readers purchase the complete PDF.
- Printed-book purchase — readers order a physical copy.
- Subscription access — readers obtain access to selected publications for a defined period.
- Institutional access — universities, libraries, schools, or organisations obtain licensed access.
- Hybrid access — metadata and preview pages are publicly accessible, while full access requires purchase, subscription, or authorisation.
The access status must be stated clearly on the publication page.
13. Sales and Revenue-Sharing Arrangement
Where a publication is offered for sale, the author and Argael Publisher will agree on the commercial model before distribution begins.
The agreement may specify:
- the selling price;
- the author’s share;
- the publisher’s share;
- the calculation of net revenue;
- printing and production costs;
- payment-gateway and administrative charges;
- promotional discounts;
- refunds and taxes;
- the reporting period;
- the payment schedule;
- the duration and termination of the collaboration.
No single profit-sharing percentage applies to all publications. The margin is determined transparently according to the contribution, cost, responsibility, and distribution arrangement associated with each work.
14. Reader Registration and Payment
Readers seeking full access to a commercial publication may be required to register and contact the Argael Publisher administration.
The reader may be asked to provide:
- full name;
- email address;
- WhatsApp or telephone number;
- institutional affiliation, where applicable;
- the title of the requested publication;
- the selected access model;
- proof of payment.
After the payment has been verified, the authorised PDF, download information, subscription access, or printed-book delivery arrangement will be provided through the agreed communication channel.
15. Discounts and Promotional Access

However, external indexing and search services operate independently. Argael Publisher cannot guarantee acceptance by Google Scholar, Google Books, Scopus, Web of Science, SINTA, or another database.

Argael Publisher may reject, suspend, restrict, or withdraw a publication that:
- contains plagiarism or serious copyright infringement;
- uses false authorship, affiliation, ISBN, DOI, or publication information;
